还要一杯小咖啡

None of the Five Lokos has posted anything about it, but we (the five of us) went to NYC two weeks ago.
We stayed in a suburban area quite close to a place which, with so much love and for some quite obvious reasons, we called “Korea Town.” Only until we got to MD we realized it was called Flushing.

There we found a bakery called Fay Da (of which I am already a fan on Facebook). When I say they have the best bread in the world is BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE BEST BREAD IN TAHE ENTIRE WORLD!
We went there a couple of times. No not that many times but exactly a couple, twice … a couple is two! (Sorry my linguistic side took over -again).

Anyway:
Diego, my 第一个baby, and I went for the last time I made the line and when I was paying Diego wanted to buy a coffee. He asked for a small coffee, but none of the two clerks paid attention to us. It was probably because Diego’s face; I mean, I don’t blame those poor women.
Diego was inviting, so within me a strange thing that started all the way down in my stomach and ended somewhat above my chest took over me. It was either courage or just my hunger giving me some heartburn. Seeing that Diego was not getting his coffee and they were already looking for our change, I said: “还要一杯小咖啡!”  (hai yao yi xiao bei kafei). (I also want a small (cup of) coffe).
they started making it and right away gave it to us.    Dang, didn’t I feel awesome! … all that suffering allowed me to get a coffee for Diego. Was it worth all the pain I suffered my first and second semester? .. .NO. Nonetheless, it made me feel awesome to buy a coffee using Chinese.

Diego and I fell in Love with Korea Town. We are moving there one day. And he doesn’t have to worry for his coffee. But that’s the only thing I’ll get him, if he wants extra vanilla or milk, then that’s his problem.
